Six railway policemen suspended
Tuesday, January 17, 2006 (Lucknow): Six General Railway Police (GRP) constables and the SP of Moradabad Railways have been suspended after clashes on Monday on board Nauchandi Express near Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.

Several medical students clashed with troops of the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) after a dispute reportedly over seats on the train. Cases have been registered against 100 PAC troops. The students were returning from Meerut after appearing in a medical entrance examination.

Several doctors were beaten up and at least three students are reportedly missing.
