New Delhi: The President has appointed Justice Vinod Kumar Bali, Judge of the Rajasthan High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge.
Mr. Justice Bali (61) was enrolled as an advocate in July 1968. He was appointed a permanent Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on March 15, 1991. He was one of the 25 Judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court who went on a mass casual leave in 2004 that triggered a nation-wide controversy. He was transferred to the Rajasthan High Court in February last. His tenure as Chief Justice in the Kerala High Court will be for one year.
