Kids fast for abducted boy

Patna: Several school children began a relay fast to press for immediate and safe release of their kidnapped classmate, Nirmalendu Prakash Diwakar. The police remains clueless about the gangs involved in the abduction of the student of Don Bosco Public School 14 days ago.  A group of students from the school are fasting at the school campus at the initiative of a local NGO, ‘Oxygen’. The idea is to build up pressure on the police to rescue Nirmalendu, called Bunty, a student of class IX. The students and staff of the school also held a mass prayer to garner support for the young boy.
Raids are being carried out at different places in Patna and its adjoining districts to locate the schoolboy, police officials informed. "We have interrogated a few people in this connection. The investigation is on," said senior police superintendent Kundan Krishnan. Krishnan was hopeful that the schoolboy would return home soon.
