(Gorakhpur): Violence broke out in India’s northern Gorakhpur town on Thursday after a youth died in police custody.The crowd attacked a police picket and set fire to vehicles. They also pelted stones at state-run buses and burnt one of them. Police had a tough time controlling the agitated crowd.The trouble began when a youth named Sunil was picked up by the police last week for interrogation. He allegedly died in police custody. Angry relatives and family members were joined by a violent mob, which demanded suspension of the police personnel concerned. The police said that they were probing into the matter and the guilty would not be spared.
