Thiruvananthapuram: The bodies of two women were fished out of a well near their house at Alamcode in Kallambalam police station limits on Saturday. The police identified the deceased as Pushpalatha, 47, and Sajeena, 37. The police suspect the women to have committed suicide. Sub-Inspector, Kallambalam, Pramod Kumar said the bodies were found in the well of a neighbour with whom the women had a property dispute. The police, along with the panchayat authorities, had summoned both parties on January 31 and settled the dispute, Mr. Kumar said.
However, the women had received a notice from the State Women’s Commission recently. Pushpalatha is survived by her husband, Thulasidharan, and three children. Sajeena’s husband, Mohanan, is working in the Gulf. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and an investigation is on
