The Special Court hearing the Babri Masjid demolition cases against senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Uma Bharti and six others today reserved its order on the defence application seeking a list of the sequence of the witnesses to be produced by CBI till the next date of hearing on February 27.
CBI counsel P K Chaubey argued that production of the sequence of the witnesses could have an adverse effect on the persecution’s case. He further argued that thee was no provision in the law which required the agency to disclose the sequence of witnesses. On the other hand the defence counsels argued that the CBI should hand them over the list of the sequence of its witnesses. Special judge V K Singh posted the matter for further hearing and order on February 27.
