Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 16. (PTI): The Kerala Government today made it clear that it had not come across any evidence of ISI activities in the state. Replying to a submission in the assembly, Finance Minister Vakkom Purushothaman said the Government had seen press reports suggesting that Pakistan’s intelligence agency, ISI, was active in certain parts of Northern Kerala. However, no such thing had come to the notice of the Government, he said.
The Minister also said the Government would not allow this kind of activity to flourish in the state at any cost and the police was keeping a strict vigil on all parts of the state.
Raising the issue, P C George (KC-S) wanted to know whether a recent statement of a high ranking army official that ISI has extended its activities in Kerala had come to the government’s notice.
