ERODE: A missing girl from Kerala was traced in Erode with the help of Human Rights Wing, but the girl refused to go with her parents.
According to police, Raji of Thaikathucherry near Thrissur, had lodged a complaint with the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, R. Nataraj, stating that her daughter Sajitha was missing for a long time and her neighbour, Sangeeth, was also missing.
Meanwhile, some members of the Human Rights Wing, informed the Superintendent of Police, P. Nagarajan, on Saturday evening that Sajitha was living in Surampatty area. The Erode South Police Sub-Inspector, P. Ruckmani, rushed to house and secured the girl.
Mother’s torture – She told the police that she left the house along with Sangeeth due to torture by her mother. Both of them were married and she was pregnant now. She categorically said that she would not go with her parents and will remain in Erode with her husband, who was employed in a hosiery unit.
