KOZHIKODE: Leaders of the Sunni Yuvajana Sangham and Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation have condemned the NDF’s effort to justify the reproduction of the cartoon on the Prophet in the Thejas daily.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Abdul Hameed Faizi Ambalakkadavu, Pinangode Aboobacker, K Moyinkutty, S V Muhammadali, Nazar Faizi Koodathayi and Salim Edakkara said the attempt would only aggravate the situation.
Drawing the picture and cartoon of the Prophet is a crime even if it is done with good intention. It cannot be denied that the Thejas has done the mistake, which is detested by Muslims all over the world.
Thejas did it at a time when the Muslims all over the world are protesting against reproduction of the cartoon by papers in other countries, the release said.
Real believers cannot tolerate the Thejas’ move to support the Zionist lobby’s world-wide attempt to denigrate Islam and the Prophet.
Muslims in Kerala have already realised that the NDF is using the religious symbols and ideals only as a means to widen the base of the organisation, the release said.
