New Delhi, Feb 25: Hurriyat Conference, which stayed away from the first-ever round-table meet on Kashmir, has approached the Centre for holding second round of talks on the Kashmir issue, dates for which will be finalised soon.
This was stated by National Security Adviser M K Narayanan, who assisted Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the first-ever round-table on Kashmir, here today. "Hurriyat has already expressed its willingness to hold the second round of talks," he said adding "the dates will be confirmed soon once the Prime Minister finds time." Narayanan was responding to queries from reporters on whether the Centre had closed all doors on separatists, including the Hurriyat which had turned down the request for attending today’s round-table.
He said talks with separatist groups at individual level would continue. The first round of talks were held on September five last year.
