The city unit of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today announced its decision to take care of all the families of the 21 accused in the Best Bakery massacre case and extended full legal support to the convicts.

About 30 VHP activists, led by Swami Vijayendrapuri Maharaj of Haridwar, today went to Hanuman Tekri and visited the houses of the accused persons, including those convicted in the case by the Mumbai court.

According to VHP media manager Dhananjay Thakkar, the organisation has decided to provide free legal aid to all those convicted to help them fight their cases in the High Court and Supreme Court. They would also get free ration, medical care and other expenses to maintain their family, he added.

The swamy also donated Rs 5,000 to the visually impaired minor son of 24-year-old Dinesh Phulchand Rajbhar, who was among the nine sentenced to life imprisonment by the Mazgaon court of Mumbai.
