Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 1: Kerala Government has issued necessary orders to implement the report of the Narendran Commission that looked into the representation of Backward Communities in governemnt services, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy today said.
Talking to reproters after a cabinet meeting, he said a monitoring committee headed by the Chief Minister had also been constituted to ensure that reservation process was duly implemented while appointments were made in government and other autonomous institutions. The Chief Secretary had been asked to prepare a report on handing over to the Kerala State Public Service Commission the appointments in public sector undertakings. The consultations have to be held between Personnel and law departments before taking a final decision on the matter, he said.
The Narendran Commission had pointed out that there was lack of proportionate representation of backward communities in government jobs and autonomous institutions and suggested ways to clear the anomalies
