Srinagar, March 26. (PTI): The Hurriyat moderate group on Saturdayaddressed a series of rallies in the Valley to garner public opinion to press for its demand to involve Kashmiris in the dialogue process.
"Kashmiris are the basic party to the Kashmir issue and their involvement in the dialogue process is imperative," former Hurriyat Conference chairman Maulvi Abbas Ansari told a public meeting at Sajadabad here.
He said besides India and Pakistan, the entire world community felt it necessary to resolve the issue for world peace.
Ansari accused the Centre of "weakening" their stand, though he did not refer to the peace treaty offered by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh yesterday to Pakistan.
He called for strengthening the Hurriyat, which he claimed was the "sole representative body" of Kashmiris.
