Doctors admit role in exam paper leak

Wednesday, March 29, 2006 (Chennai): Three doctors are said to have confessed to their role in leaking medical exam question papers in January. Since morning the CBI conducted raids at 35 locations in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and registered FIRs against 22 doctors. According to reports, three doctors reportedly said they received Rs 10 lakh each for aiding the leak. The probe involves postgraduate level entrance exams held by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences. The Health Ministry had received complaints that large-scale bungling took place during the exams. The ministry took up the matter with the CBI, which registered a case on Monday after receiving a notification from the government. (With PTI inputs)
