Naxals attack railway post in Gaya

Sunday, April 9, 2006 (Patna):
Naxal extremists have blown up the Bansinala railway post in Gaya district of Bihar.
The attack took place between Gaya and Howrah early Sunday morning.
Four railway employees, who were kidnapped by the Naxals were later released. A high alert has been sounded in several sensitive areas like Gaya, Jehanabad, Aurangabad and Navada.

Trains affected The CPI (Maoists) have called for a Magadh bandh.

Several trains in the Gaya-Mughalsarai and Gaya-Patna sectors including a number of Howrah-bound trains via Gaya have been affected.The trains which have been cancelled include Buddh Poornima Express, Rajendra Nagar-Palamu Express, Patna-Gaya Passenger, Dhanbad-Firozepur Express, Dhanbad-Gaya Intercity And Varanasi Asansol Express.
