The Police have found 7500 electronic Detonators , 50,000 ordinary Detonators, 1450 gelatine sticks, 8 boxes of sheftic fire  from a shopping complex near Thankam cinema theatre, Vadakkanchery Town of Palakkad District.  A detonator is a device used to trigger bombs, shaped charges and other forms of explosive material and explosive devices. It also widely used in mining and quarrying operations.

“We suspect that people  from remote places came here to buy the ammunition as it was kept  near an unnoticed location near to National highway,  fearing criminal action against them,”  Sub Inspector, Mr. V.A. Krishna Das said. The raid was conducted upon a tip off.

The police  arrested  Mr. Sathyan a native of Paruvassery village, who is a salesman of a nearby godown, in connection with the crime.
