KOZHIKODE: Reacting sharply to BJP president Rajnath Singh’s charge that the National Development Front (NDF) had infiltrated the police and administration in the State, the NDF said it was a known programme of the RSS to infiltrate and communalise democratic institutions.
NDF general secretary Nasaruddin Elamaram said on Thursday that the leakage of confidential documents from the office of the Special Branch to leaders of the Hindu Aikya Vedi was proof that some senior police officials had links with the RSS and the BJP. These documents were later placed before the Marad Commission also, he said.
In North Indian States, there have been several instances of the police supporting the RSS during communal riots, the NDF spokesman alleged in a statement. The NDF’s statement was in response to the remarks by BJP national president Rajnath Singh at a press conference on Wednesday that extremists had infiltrated into the administration and police in Kerala.
