Srinagar: Bringing to the fore once again the age-old communal harmony and brotherhood in Jammu and Kashmir, Muslim residents of a village in Baramulla district have performed the last rites of a Kashmiri Pandit.
Roshan Lal, a resident of Krankishivan village, died yesterday after a brief illness and his last rites were performed by his Muslim neighbours.
Lal, who had stayed back despite mass exodus of his community members following eruption of militancy in the state in early 1990s, was living happily with his Muslim neighbours.
Lal's wife and sons broke the news of his death and within no time the entire population of the village thronged their house to express their grief and performed his last rites.
