KOZHIKODE: Aimed at undertaking strict reconnaissance along the northern shores of Kerala, the Indian coast guard is all set to open a separate station at Beypore, near here, on May 25. Coast guard director prabhakaran paleri would inaugurate the station, said an official release. Beypore station would be the third in Kerala, apart from the kochi and vizhijam centres and 21st in the country, it said. Two ships, kasturba Gandhi and durgabai deshmukh, would be reaching Beypore Port on May 21 to undertake advertisement campaign prior to the inaugural function, it added.
