Thiruvananthapuram: Eleven schools in the Middle East (UAE, Qatar and Oman) following the Kerala state board curriculum have registered a 98.23 pass percentage for the Class 12 higher secondary examination, according to results announced Monday.
State Education Minister M.A. Baby announced the results at a news conference here.
A total of 791 students had appeared for the examination from these schools. Of the 777 students who passed, 309 came out with distinction, 338 secured first division, 101 got second division and 29 got third division.
Of the 11 schools, The Model School, Abu Dhabi (107 students), Our Own Indian School, UAE (65) and New Indian Model Higher Secondary School, Al-Ain, UAE (28), registered 100 percent pass results.
The results of the other eight schools are as follows:
New Indian Model Higher Secondary School, Dubai, UAE, (148 students appeared, two failed); The Gulf Model School, Dubai, UAE (92 appeared, three failed); New Indian Model HSS Sharjah, UAE (92 appeared, one failed); New Indian HSS, Ras-al- Khaimah (70 appeared, two failed); Indian School, Fujairah (57 appeared, two failed); Indian School, Darsait, Oman (57 appeared, one failed); MES Indian HSS, Doha, Qatar (40 appeared, one failed) and The English School, Um-Al-Quwain, UAE (35 appeared, four failed).
