PANJIM, MAY 29 — Dalit sena (Goa State) and Agnelo Vocational Training Institute jointly commenced a three months training camp for youth in electrical wiring. The project was inaugurated at New Vaddem, where the entire programe would be conducted by the able instructors from the Agnelo Vocational Training Institute, led by Tushar Sawant, project leader, states a press note issued by Dalit Sena.
The function commenced by garlanding the photograph of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar by chief guest Chitra C Gawas and Chandrakant K Gawas, president and guests of honours were Lavina, M R Maiankar and S K Jadhav states the press note.
About 36 candidate, both dalit and general enrolled for the training which is free of cost.At the outset Mr Sawant explained the purpose and scope of the programme and said it is aimed of turning unskilled participants into skilled ones. So that they could be more useful to the society and also get self employed. He added that the emphasis would be on practicals.
Chitra C. Gawas lauded the efforts of the Dalit Sena and the project leader of the St. Agnelo Training Institute for bringing about this facility and urged the. youth to do well in the training.Malankar said in the present day technical knowledge is power and this is an opportunity to acquire it.
Manohar Dhargave, President of Dalit Sena who was instrumental in organising the camp compered the function while Pervez Khan proposed vote of thanks states the press note.
