Pune, June 25: TEN people belonging to Bajrang Dal were arrested by the Pune rural police for trying to disrupt a prayer session at Chakan. The police said beginning Saturday, Emmanuel A J Church had organised a three-hour prayer session for three days at Varsha Mangal Karyalaya.
They said when the authorities had gathered to conduct the meeting, at least 125 Bajrang Dal activists tried to disrupt it. The activists mistook the meeting as a conversion programme.

Two policemen were also injured and were admitted to the Chakan government hospital. Superintendent of police (Pune Rural) Vishwas Nangare Patil said it was the first time such an incident had occurred and the function was unnecessarily targeted by the activists.
