Thiruvananthapuram – Women will soon have more say in the running of Kerala temples.
Devasom Minister G. Sudhakaran told IANS Friday: ‘We have decided to reserve seats for women and for members of Scheduled Castes and Tribes on Devasom boards which run these temples.’
There are four Devasom boards in the state.
He said the government would soon bring a new law to make crucial changes in the functioning of these boards.
Earlier only members of the Nair and Ezhava castes were allowed on the board.
