Kannur, Ocober 15, 2006
In a huge country-bomb explosion at Nettur Nambiarpeedika, an RSS worker Renil, 22, and another activist, Shobith, 25 sustained serious injuries. Renil’s left leg had to be amputated at the Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode, while Shobith escaped with some injuries. The explosion occurred when hindutva terrorists were manufacturing bombs.
In a parallel incident at the CPM stronghold of Kappummal near Pinarayi under the Kadirur police station, two CPM workers had sustained injuries during bomb explosion. CPM workers Rahul, 24, and Shiju, 23, had sustained injuries. The explosion took place in a house under construction when they were allegedly involved in making country-bombs.
The recent incidents of bomb explosions, involving both the BJP-RSS and the CPM activists, around Kannur caused possibly while manufacturing and testing the efficacy of country bombs, have become a serious cause for concern. The incidents were indication enough to prove that both the rival camps of the RSS and the CPM are busy stockpiling weapons.
