THIRUVANANATHAPURAM: Fast Track Court I, Judge, Y. Thajudeen Koya on Friday sentenced a 67-year-old woman to nine-years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs.15,000 after she was found guilty of harassing her daughter-in-law to death over dowry in October 2001.

The court also sentenced Murali, 37, the husband of the victim to the same period of rigorous imprisonment and fine in connection with the incident. In case of default of payment of the fine amount, the convicts have to undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months more.
