Sex at rented home, Senior Police Officer suspended

K. Radhakrishan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Crime Records Bureau (DCRB), Kannur has been suspended from the service  on allegations of immoral sex activities with a woman. The public of Koovot area in Taliparamba, says that they caught him on thursday night (14 Dec 06) while he was spending his "duty time" with a woman.

The suspected  woman was staying at a rented home which was leased by a private financial firm.  Many people in Koovot area think that the home is more  of a "guest house" status with suspected sex trade activities .  Public had a close watch on the movements and events  happened in and around the leased home which  lead to the arrest of the senior cop. The police officer has been admitted at Pariyaram Medical college as he came heavily under the wrath of public. Mr. Radhakrishan (48 Years) is a native of Ernakulam district and he was hooked along in the case with four others. The woman is identified as Ms. Ammini (40 Years) Manarkadu, Puthuparambu of Kottayam district.

The other accused in the case are  Mr.Santhosh Kumar (25), Palayulla Parambil of Koothu Parambu and was working as the driver of the police officer, Mr. K.N.Rajesh (24 years) a native of Thirunakkara, Kottayam and Chief Executive of Taliparambu Micro Insurance, his driver Mr. T.N.Vijayan, native of Karapuzha, Kochalil, Kottayam.

The vehicle, which was used by DySP K.Radhakrishnan (KL 01 9049) and the car used by Rajesh (KL 5 U 1879) are currently under the police custody. Reports says that the Police found nearly 12 bottles of liquor from the site.

Senior Police officers of the region, Mr. Mathew Policarp, SP of Kannur, Mr. Habeeb Rahman, DySP of Kannur immediately visited the site. Police booked a case under immoral act of 1956 against all of the five accused under the plea of T. Balakrishan, the Vice Chairman of Taliparmba Municipality. The police also initiated a case against 15 people from koovot area for attacking the police officer. Based on the accusations, the police officer and his driver has been immediately suspended from services of Kerala Police.
