NCHRO Kerala Chapter organized a seminar titled “Indian Fascism, State Atrocities & Human Rights” on 08-Sep-2017 . The seminar was held at KP KeshavaMenon Hall, Calicut which is part of NCHRO 20th Anniversary, State level Seminar Series.
The seminar opened by observing a minute’s silence in memory of murdered Human Rights Defender Gauri Lankesh.
The event was attended by Prof P Koya – NCHRO General Secretary, KEN Kunjahammed – Social & Political Activist, Nasarudheen Elamaram – Kerala State President, Popular Front, Grow Vasu – Social Activist, Seethal Shyam – Activist, Rupeshkumar – Documentary film maker, Reny Ayline – NCHRO Secretary, PMA Haris, Journalist etc.
NCHRO Kerala chapter President, Vilayodi Shivankutty presided over the opening of seminar.
Participants took a close look of subject themes and the seminar helped identify concrete ways in which democratic institutions could respond effectively to old and new challenges to the promotion and protection of human rights.
