INVITATION
Dear Sir/Madam,
The National Confederation of Human Rights Organizations (NCHRO) cordially invites you to join us in various programmes organized as part of its twentieth anniversary celebrations. A major programme is the “National Conference on Human Rights” being held on October 28-29, 2017 at Indian Social Institute (ISI), Lodhi Road, New Delhi. This is a momentous occasion for all active in the Confederation. This gives us the opportunity to look back and reassess 20 years of struggle for human rights in our country; a moment to reflect, to learn and to plan for the future. An opportunity to take stock of the condition of human rights in the country.
This anniversary conference will gather human rights defenders, activists, former political prisoners, courageous dissidents and victims of rights violations from all parts of the nation and they will join hands to plan action strategies for a positive social change. Some of the most prominent intellectuals and activists in the country have already agreed to attend the conference.
In connection with the 20th anniversary, NCHRO has put together a seminar series in various cities across the country exploring various aspects of the human rights. Former Supreme Court Justice, N Santosh Hegde inaugurated the Opening Seminar themed “Terror Laws & their Implications” at a ceremony on 21 May 2017 at SCMI House, Bangalore.
NCHRO is a common platform of the various groups and individuals committed to the cause of human rights in India. The necessity of strengthening human rights defenses and the need for a better coordination of the ongoing efforts in various part of the country was discussed in various meetings held at telangana and the new confederation is constituted as a humble step towards achieving the same.
We cordially invite you to attend the Conference.
Looking forward your confirmation at the earliest.
Regards
