In the case of persons who were victims of mob lynching on charges of cow smuggling, NCHRO Madhya Pradesh, while demanding the arrest of all the accused, prosecution of murder against them and quashing the charges of smuggling after proper investigation and proper compensation, registered in the State Human Rights Commission.
The organization will soon send its fact finding team to investigate the incident.
A case of mob lynching of alleged cow smugglers has come to light in Barkhar village under Seoni Malwa tehsil of Narmadapuram district of Madhya Pradesh. People caught and thrashed the accused persons who were carrying cows in the truck. One person died in this while two were injured.
According to the information given by the police, on the night of August 02, around 12.30 AM, people surrounded the truck and started beating up after a truck full of more than two dozen cows collided with a tree. The residents of Amravati were in the truck. According to the police, Nazir Ahmed, Shaikh Lala and Mushtaq were taking the truck to Amravati. In the incident, Nazir Ahmed died during treatment and the other two were injured. SP Gurkaran Singh said that a case of murder has been registered in. Along with this, a case of illegal smuggling of cow progeny has also been registered.
After this entire development, the human rights organization National Confederation of Human Rights Organizations (NCHRO) Madhya Pradesh has registered a case by complaining to the State Human Rights Commission. In this case, the organization has demanded that the accused persons should be identified and arrested through video and other means and they should be tried for murder and after proper investigation, the case of cow smuggling registered against the victims should be dismissed and they should be given proper compensation.
